Ronnie Fiorentino grew up on the Southeast side of Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Holy Name High School back in the 60's and was heavily influenced by the music of the times. Ronnie's neighborhood had a diverse make-up of ethnic backgrounds and musical tastes ranging from the early Do-Wop groups, blues, rock n' roll and the sounds of singers like Sinatra, Dino, Sammy, Bobby Darrin and others.
Ronnie possessed a great singing voice and the desire to take his talents further than the corner of East 93rd Street and Union Avenue. He and some friends formed "The Graduates" in the early 60's and were a popular club act around Cleveland and the surrounding area. Ronnie got his first big break when he was asked to audition for a spot with the world-renowned vocal group, "The Four Coins". The group had already recorded such smash hits as: "My One Sin", "The World Outside", and "Memories of You". The Four Coins' all-time #1 seller, "Shangri-La" has sold over eight million records to date. Four hundred singers were auditioned for the spot and Ronnie Fiorentino, the kid from Cleveland's South East side was chosen. Ronnie went right to rehearsals with the group in Canonsburg, PA. The rehearsal hall was next door to Perry Como's original barbershop, in Canonsburg.
Ten days later Ronnie made his debut with the Four Coins, appearing in Dallas, Texas. It wasn't long after that Ronnie had moved to singing the leads in most of the appearances. During this time the Coins headlined at some of the country's top nightspots, including clubs in Miami, Fl. and Las Vegas.
The Coins toured the Far East in the 1970's performing in Japan and the Philippine Islands. Their tours also included stops in Europe, performing in Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Ronnie continued singing with the Four Coins until they disbanded in the late 1970s.
Ronnie's unique style, blending his experiences with the Four Coins and his early days of Do-Wop and Rock and Roll, plus the influences of Sinatra, Davis, Dino and others are part of Fiorentino's New Millennium act and material. Pop, show tunes, standards, swing and ballads make up the song list that you can expect to hear. All of these sounds are available on his CD "Fiorentino and What First Class Music is All About". Take a moment to listen to one of the selections from the CD and if you like what you hear you can order the complete CD for your collection.
Ronnie Fiorentino is currently performing at summer fairs and festivals in the Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia area. Fiorentino is a crowd favorite at the many Italian Festivals he has performed at over the years, as well as appearing at the Mountaineer Resort in West Virginia, and Thistledown Race Track in Cleveland, OH. Ronnie is available for special occasions, private parties, weddings and club dates. Ronnie performs as a single or with his own group of three (3) to eight (8) talented musicians depending on your needs and the venue.
